Frequently asked questions
CompareBench is a platform for capturing your PC's hardware details and benchmark results. Once we have those, there's quite a lot you can do — compare results with friends in easy-to-read graphs, or create Revisions when you upgrade your hardware to see exactly how it's improved.
We'd like to think so. One of the problems with sites like UserBenchmark is that performance data is based on regular users submitting results, which can be skewed by machines with background processes, misconfigured drivers, or other variables.
While we store your personal benchmarks, we never surface user-submitted data in aggregate on product pages. Any performance data you see on product pages comes from verified, trusted sources.
We also exclusively use verified benchmarks when suggesting part upgrades.
Verified benchmarks on product pages meet two criteria:
- Reproducibility — They must be 100% replicable by the end user. That means no fiddly in-game setup, no specific time-of-day requirements. You'll only see built-in game benchmarks or equally easy-to-run tests.
- Trusted source — They should come from a trusted source; our own results or from a trusted partner.
